Working closely with clients throughout the design process, Jason ensures that each project is custom tailored to the needs and lifestyle of the homeowner. A well produced, detailed, and complete set of plans is key to the success of any construction project.

Edgewood - Kitchen and Living RoomA set of construction plans is similar to a set of instructions to build a media center or new BBQ. With instruction manuals, there is a range in the level of detail that explains the process of building said item. With less detail, there are more questions, leading to a longer time line, the potential for things to be built wrong, and usually more issues along the way. A more complete set of instructions leaves less to the imagination and allows the item to be constructed at a much faster pace, with fewer errors, and an overall smoother building process.

A set of architectural drawings is no different.  At JH Designs, we believe that the set of drawings should be a thorough set of instructions for the contractor to follow.  By spending a little more time up front in creating a complete set of drawings, there is less guessing by the contractor and his sub-contractors.  It allows the contractor to plan more efficiently, and build the project in a manner that is enjoyable for all that are involved.  Typically this also will result in a more cost-effective project and a happier homeowner.
